A gunman, identified as Kieran Morgan, fired a sawn-off shotgun at various locations in Manchester, with three men allegedly conspiring with him, according to the prosecution at Manchester Crown Court.
The incidents began on March 12, 2023, when Morgan targeted a house on Dorac Avenue in Heald Green during the evening. Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosive device resembling a 'firework' at the scene.
A month later, on April 21, a family on Wilmslow Road was packing their car for Eid celebrations when Morgan allegedly fired at their home, causing damage but no injuries. Aaron Deasy was said to have driven Morgan to this second crime scene.
The final shooting occurred on April 30 at the Drip burger bar on Kingsway, where Morgan shot twice inside the establishment, terrifying staff and customers who were present.
Kieran Morgan has admitted to conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life. In contrast, Zaki Shazad denies any involvement in endangerment but admits to intent to cause fear of violence. Both Deasy and Darren McAndrew plead not guilty to all charges.
