In April 2021, Chantelle Pridding's home in Eccles, Salford was raided by the Greater Manchester Police's Serious Organised Crime Unit. Officers uncovered a cache of drugs and a loaded gun concealed within her house.
During the search of Pridding's kitchen, police identified a loose panel that held a black bag with a loaded firearm inside. Hidden in a locked cupboard, they further discovered quantities of class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin, valued at approximately £90,050, along with drug paraphernalia.
Text messages between Pridding and Leon Reinertsen revealed her house was used for drug storage on his behalf. The court learned of their complex relationship, where Pridding was manipulated due to her vulnerable status. Reinertsen had already been jailed for possession of the gun after his DNA was matched to it.
Facing legal consequences, Pridding admitted to allowing her residence to be used for drug operations. She received a 12-month community order and was ordered to undergo rehabilitation activities. Pridding has since rehabilitated, finding stable accommodation and work.
