Wilmslow Police Station Incident - Appeal for Information

On Wednesday at 7.30pm, a man attacked the Wilmslow Police Station located on Hawthorn Street, damaging a window and a security entrance gate before fleeing the scene.

The man reportedly hurled abuse at officers who confronted him outside the station, subsequently running across a nearby car park where he managed to escape. In light of this incident, police in Wilmslow, Cheshire, are appealing for information and requesting that anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage come forward.

A spokesperson for the police stated: "The man aggressively hit the window, resulting in it cracking. Officers exited to confront him but were met with verbal abuse from a distance before he fled."

Upon searching the area, authorities found that a security gate leading into the station had also been damaged. The suspect is described as white, wearing a light grey Berghaus jacket and dark blue jogging bottoms.

Inspector Nick Rogers condemned the attack, stating: "Deliberately targeting and damaging our police buildings and hurling threatening abuse at our officers and staff is totally unacceptable and something that we as a force will not stand for." He indicated that 'numerous enquiries' are already underway to locate the individual.

Anyone who may have been in the vicinity at the time or possesses relevant footage is encouraged to reach out to the police.
