A violent confrontation unfolded outside Manchester Crown Court, related to the concluded Badri Issa murder trial. The altercation, occurring on Thursday evening, May 9, 2024, involved several individuals seen exchanging punches near the court premises.

The brawl followed the conviction of Raami Mohamed for the murder of Badri Issa, a case that had gathered significant public attention. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with bottles being thrown among those involved, and police presence was notably heavy in the vicinity, including Bridge Street and Spinningfields.

In the aftermath, Greater Manchester Police confirmed the arrest of eight individuals, including two minors, on charges of affray and assault. The investigation into the incident continues as those detained await questioning.

Raami Mohamed was found guilty by jurors for the murder of Badri Issa, who was fatally stabbed on October 25 of the previous year in Cheetham Hill. Another defendant, Kevell Blake, was acquitted of murder but convicted of manslaughter. Both are scheduled for sentencing next month.
