On November 1, officers from Greater Manchester Police issued urgent appeals to locate two wanted men: 32-year-old Issac Akani and 44-year-old Derek Lawton.

Akani is wanted after absconding from officers in Openshaw around 8am today. He is sought in connection with serious offences. Police urge the public not to approach him if seen.

Issac Akani is described as black, 5ft 7ins tall, slim build, with short black hair and black stubble. He is believed to be wearing grey joggers and an oversized brown hoodie.

Meanwhile, Derek Lawton is wanted for recall to prison and has known connections to Wigan, Leigh, and Merseyside.
