In January 2025, several notorious criminals were sentenced to significant prison terms in the UK, including Southport killer Axel Rudakubana. The 18-year-old was given a minimum term of 52 years for the brutal murder of three young girls at a dance class.

Another convict received a whole-life order for murdering a woman and dismembering her body. An array of other severe crimes were reported, including the case of a father who rammed his car into a crowd in a vendetta for his son, and a predator who attempted to murder a girl he had groomed online.

Christopher Cooper

On May 26 last year, Christopher Cooper killed Kelvin Evans with a single cowardly punch from behind outside The Station Hotel in Swansea. Evans succumbed to his injuries months later.
