Two individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder after a man succumbed to his injuries following a disturbance at a residence in Cheshire.
A 41-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were apprehended at the scene and are currently being interrogated by investigators. This incident occurred after law enforcement responded to a disturbance at a Brook Lane property in Northwich on Saturday afternoon.
A male victim was discovered at the location with severe injuries. Despite efforts by paramedics and an air ambulance, he was declared dead at the scene.
The deceased is thought to be in his late 30s. The police have notified his next of kin, who are receiving support from specialist officers.
There is currently a police cordon in effect on Brook Lane. Detective Inspector Eleanor Atkinson has issued an appeal for any witnesses.
She stated, "I understand the anxiety this event may cause, and I want to assure residents that this seems to be an isolated incident, posing no threat to the broader community.
Two suspects are in police custody, and local patrols have been increased to provide reassurance. A cordon remains at the scene.
