Trial of Ryan White: Details of Manchester Murder Case

In a dramatic case unfolding at Manchester Crown Court, Ryan White, 29, stands accused, along with two relatives, of murdering Warren Burns, 37, in his home on Heysham Avenue, Withington, Manchester. The incident occurred in May when Mr. Burns tragically lost his life after a brutal attack.

Prosecutors assert that Mr. Burns was viciously kicked, stamped, and punched to death. Disturbingly, his partner fled their home with their 10-week-old infant during the attack.

The three accused—Ryan White, Brandon White (21), and Damian White (33)—have all pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder.

Ryan White has maintained his innocence, stating that he was involved in a drug transaction at a nearby location, Platt Fields Park, at the time of the murder. He disclosed purchasing cannabis to resell and was preoccupied with this activity when the incident transpired. Upon receiving a call from his cousin Damien, Ryan proceeded to their grandmother’s house, only to later learn of the ensuing altercation with Mr. Burns.

The trial has uncovered a complex relationship history between the Burns and White families, potentially marred by long-standing grievances.

As the prosecution continues to present its case, the defense strives to disprove allegations, emphasizing misinterpretations and wrongfully attributed actions.

Additionally, Casey-Jay McDonagh Andrews, 19, has been charged with assisting Brandon White, with accusations of planning escapes from Manchester post-incident.
