Tragic Incident in Wigan: A Case of Domestic Violence

A shocking incident occurred in Wigan where Caroline Gore, 43, was fatally stabbed by her boyfriend, David Liptrot, 56, in her flat bathroom. The violent encounter reportedly followed a heated argument after a night of drinking.

The couple had been out visiting pubs around Leigh and Atherton on October 29, 2023. Later in the evening, Ms. Gore attempted to distance herself from Mr. Liptrot, who persistently searched for her, even entering women's toilets in pursuit. He eventually returned to her residence and waited for her arrival.
