Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy from Wigan on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing incident in Morecambe, Lancashire. The incident took place on Kensington Road around 6.45pm on Saturday.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was found with stab wounds and was rushed to the hospital. He currently remains in a serious but stable condition.

The teenage suspect was arrested on Monday morning in the Billinge area and is being held in custody for questioning. Authorities have assured the community that they are treating this as an isolated incident and have deployed a dedicated team of officers to the area.
