Significant Cannabis Stash Discovered in Bolton

On Tuesday, October 15, a significant stash of 'snap bags' filled with cannabis was discovered hidden in a car in Bolton after suspects fled from police.

Officers were on patrol in response to recent reports of drug dealing when they noticed a group of men gathered around a vehicle on Boardman Street that same night.

Upon seeing the officers, the suspects quickly fled the scene. A subsequent search of the car revealed a substantial quantity of snap bags containing the Class B drug.

The drugs were confiscated and sent for forensic testing, while the vehicle was also taken by police. Greater Manchester Police have stated that inquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.

A post from GMP's Bolton team detailed: "Last night, officers on patrol pulled onto Boardman Street and spotted a group of men stood around a car. As soon as they saw the officers, they all ran off. When the officers searched the car they were stood with, a large amount of snap bags containing cannabis were located."

"The drugs have been seized and will be sent off to check for any fingerprints. We also seized the car and we are looking forward to speaking to the person who contacts us to get their car back."

"Although we may not have arrested anyone yet, this is a large amount of drugs off the street and disrupts drug supply in the area. It also sends out a message that we will target those who decide to carry drugs."
