A man has been arrested following a serious assault in Rochdale that left another man injured.
The incident occurred on Friday, November 8, shortly before 12:30pm on Holmes Street. A 42-year-old man was found with serious injuries as a result of the attack.
According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the victim's injuries are not considered "life-threatening or changing." A 33-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of assault.
On Saturday, eyewitnesses observed forensic officers investigating a house on Holmes Street, not far from Rochdale town centre. Images from the scene captured a cordon around the property and two police vehicles stationed outside.
A spokesperson for GMP stated: "We were called on Friday, November 8, shortly before 12:30pm. A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. Injuries are serious but thankfully not life-threatening or changing."
