On November 15, a man was charged in connection with a shooting incident in Oldham.
Police responded to reports of gunfire on Crompton Street in Coldhurst. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident.
Daniel Eastmond, 41, of Lime Green Road, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court today (Friday).
Detective Inspector Richard Castley from Greater Manchester Police's Serious Organised Crime Group stated, “We have managed to secure a charge against a man for an incident that happened just over a month ago – our investigation has been meticulous and is still ongoing."
He further emphasized, "Thanks to our proactive efforts, we are helping to prevent harm and protect our communities from further acts of violence. Although most firearm incidents are targeted and do not pose a broader risk to the public, we understand the fear and distress they cause in our communities.”
