Manchester Teenager Faces Trial on Terrorism Charges

A 19-year-old former university student, Jacob Graham, is set to stand trial in Manchester. He has been accused of preparing terrorist acts, allegedly involving homemade firearms, explosives, and drafting a 'manifesto'.

Between May 1, 2022, and May 16, 2023, Graham reportedly bought items and obtained instructions to manufacture deadly firearms and ammunition. It is also claimed that he acquired materials to create explosives and composed draft documents titled 'my letter' and 'manifesto'.

Additionally, Graham is charged with assisting in the creation of the 'freedom encyclopedia'. He faces four more charges related to possessing documents on topics such as militia training, '100 deadly skills', and homemade ammunition.

The prosecution also alleges two charges of disseminating terrorist publications on January 25 and March 22.

Graham, hailing from Outer Forum, Liverpool, attended a hearing at the Old Bailey, appearing by video link from Forest Bank prison in Salford. Wearing a blue T-shirt and glasses, he pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial is scheduled for January 17 next year at Manchester Crown Court, before Mr. Justice Goose.
