Manchester Police Seize Uninsured Sports Car for Reckless Driving

On Sunday, January 12, a driver in Manchester city centre attracted unwanted attention when their black sports car was seized by police.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) noted that the driver's 'manner of driving' raised officers' suspicions, particularly due to the 'excessive noise' emanating from the vehicle.

Upon conducting checks, police discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance. Consequently, GMP seized the car and reported the driver.

A spokesperson from GMP Traffic stated: "This driver brought attention to themselves due to their manner of driving and excessive noise. Stopped on Medlock Street by GMP Motorcycle Unit. Turns out they had no insurance either. Vehicle seized. Driver reported."
