Detectives in Manchester are appealing for assistance following an attack on an 18-year-old woman in the city centre. The incident occurred at approximately 2am on Sunday, January 19, 2025, on Peter Street, resulting in serious injuries to the woman's face.

According to Greater Manchester Police, while the injuries are serious, they are not life-changing or life-threatening. The police have released two CCTV images of a man who may have important information regarding the disturbance that led to the attack.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated: "Detectives continue to investigate the disturbance on Peter Street after receiving numerous reports. It is believed that the woman sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries." They are currently following up on various leads and urge anyone who recognizes the individual in the images to come forward.
