Greater Manchester Police have released a CCTV image in relation to a mobile phone theft that occurred in Manchester city centre.

The incident took place on Portland Street at approximately 1am on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

Authorities are interested in speaking to the individual depicted, as they believe he may hold crucial information regarding the theft.

The image shows a man wearing a hat and a face covering.

Anyone who recognizes this man or has information about the incident is urged to contact the police at their earliest convenience. Witnesses are also encouraged to reach out to Greater Manchester Police.

A spokesperson for GMP stated: "We are looking to speak to this man as we believe he can assist with investigations following the theft of a mobile phone on Portland Street, Manchester on March 9, 2025, at around 1am."
