Two individuals were arrested in Manchester following a significant drug raid conducted on January 28, 2025. They had plans to 'jet off on holiday' that have now been disrupted.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police executed a raid on a property in Newton Heath, uncovering a large stash of Class A and B drugs.
During the operation, cocaine, ketamine, crystal meth, and cannabis were seized, along with thousands of pounds in cash.
The two suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of drug supply offences. According to police reports, the money they intended to use for their holiday was instead found at the scene.
Inspector Jackson from GMP's North Manchester neighbourhood policing team commented on the operation: "On January 28, 2025, our team secured the arrest of two individuals for drug supply offences, resulting in the discovery of a large quantity of drugs and cash."
He added, "These individuals were planning to use the seized cash for their holiday, but instead, they will now spend time on remand at HMP. This operation marks a significant success for our team, and we anticipate it will disrupt criminal activity in the area."
