Manchester Court Case: Jordan Appleby Sentenced

Jordan Appleby, a 28-year-old, sexually assaulted a girl who later felt 'dirty', as reported in court. Jordan Appleby maintained he never forced anyone into actions they didn't wish to partake in.

The girl, shown a video of Jordan Appleby engaging in sexual activity, was recorded performing an inappropriate act without giving her consent. Prosecutor Gavin Howie informed the Manchester Crown Court of these incidents. The victim did not explicitly refuse, though she was aware the act was wrong.

Following the girl's alert, Jordan Appleby was apprehended. During questioning, he stated: "I've never raped anyone. I've never made anyone do anything they didn't want to do."

After being charged, Jordan Appleby admitted to four counts related to inappropriate actions with a minor, while original charges of rape were not pursued.

The victim expressed feelings of isolation and guilt, believing she couldn't speak up at the time. She now recognizes the situation was not her fault and feels triggered when recalling Jordan Appleby.

In defense, Robert Fitt noted that Jordan Appleby had no previous criminal record and had been forthcoming throughout the process. Fitt emphasized that Jordan Appleby would avoid future legal issues.

Judge Sarah Johnston highlighted the victim's confusion and feelings of guilt, stressing her innocence as she was exploited while a minor. She concluded that Jordan Appleby, residing at Crowden Road, deserved his sentence of two years and two months in jail.
