In a harrowing incident in Stockport, an Iranian man was brutally assaulted over a span of two hours. The victim met Rebecca Wilde, and was later assaulted by Michael Hollinshead, Joey Peers, and Paul Dixon at Wilde's flat.
The violent event unfolded on November 30, 2021. After engaging in drug consumption, Hollinshead demanded money, restraining the victim upon refusal. Meanwhile, Wilde and others used the man's bank card to purchase alcohol.
The victim was threatened with a knife and endured physical abuse while being coerced to reveal his bank PIN. Following the theft, the victim managed to flee and sought assistance from a passerby.
CCTV evidence showed Wilde purchasing alcohol with the victim’s card. The group eventually admitted to the robbery, with Hollinshead facing additional charges of false imprisonment and assault.
In court, Hollinshead was sentenced to six years' imprisonment with an extended period of two years on licence, while Wilde received a 28-month sentence. Peers and Dixon each faced five-year terms.
