A man named Liam Tyrrell, aged 29, has been brought to justice after committing serious crimes against children. Authorities report that he repeatedly targeted his young victim with physical and sexual assaults.
The case came to light when the victim courageously disclosed the abuse to family members. Evidence presented in court revealed that Tyrrell had sexually assaulted the boy multiple times, in addition to slapping and kicking him.
Tyrrell also faced charges for physically assaulting two other children. He was arrested at his residence in St James Court, Buxton, though he previously lived in Glossop.
Charges against Tyrrell included two counts of sexual assault, three counts of cruelty to a person under 16, and one count of controlling and coercive behavior. Initially, he denied the accusations but ultimately pleaded guilty on the day of his trial at Minshull Street Crown Court.
On November 7, Tyrrell was sentenced at Bolton Crown Court to two years and nine months in prison. Additionally, he was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for ten years, required to register as a sex offender, and given a restraining order.
