Jewellery Burglary Appeal - Manchester Student Accommodation

On 31 August 2024, burglars targeted student accommodation in Manchester city centre, making off with jewellery valued at approximately £3,000 to £4,000.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have released images of the distinctive jewellery, which includes a necklace, earrings, and a charm bracelet, as part of their appeal for information.

While the exact location of the burglary has not been disclosed, police mentioned that two men, clad in dark clothing, accessed a communal lobby area and were captured on CCTV footage searching bins on the ground floor of the building.

GMP stated on their Facebook page: "Police appeal for witnesses after a burglary of jewellery estimated to be worth £3,000 to £4,000 at student accommodation in Manchester city centre."

They continued, saying: "It’s believed the suspects entered through the communal lobby area and were later seen searching the bins."

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police by calling 101 and quoting log 1061 of 31082024 or they can reach out to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
