Emotional Tribute to Harshita Brella: Investigation Update

The family of Harshita Brella, 24, have paid an emotional tribute, stating they will 'never forget her'.

On 14 November, an international manhunt was launched after Harshita's body was found in the boot of a car in Ilford, east London. Detectives believe she was murdered in Corby, Northamptonshire, four days prior, before being transported to London in a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

Authorities suspect Harshita was strangled, naming her husband, Pankaj Lamba, 23, as a prime suspect.

In a tribute released through Northamptonshire Police, Ms Brella’s family expressed, “Harshita, you left this world but you are still with us in our hearts. We will never forget you till our last breath. Always stay with us. We miss you in every very moment of our life.”

On Thursday, Northamptonshire Police appealed for witnesses who were in the vicinity of Corby Boating Lake, Cottingham Road, and Westcott Way on the evening of 10 November, and who may possess dashcam footage or other relevant information.

Detective Chief Inspector Johnny Campbell stated: “Our inquiries have established that Pankaj and Harshita were near the boating lake on Sunday evening. We have conducted searches in the area and know that it’s a busy part of town with much passing traffic.”

“We appeal to anyone who was in Corby between 6pm and 9pm on Sunday, November 10, particularly around Corby Boating Lake. Any dashcam footage or information could be crucial to our investigation. Your assistance may help piece together what happened to Harshita and aid in bringing her killer to justice.”
