A prolific drug dealer, Balraj Maan, was captured by the police in Manchester after a minor road accident led to his arrest.
Maan, 25, was stopped in Cheetham Hill with a significant amount of Class A drugs and cash in his vehicle. The incident followed a suspicious behaviour notice by officers in Overbridge Road, Salford.
On March 4 of the previous year, officers pursued Maan's Vauxhall Astra after he failed to stop following a minor collision. The vehicles proceeded to Dewhurst Street where they eventually halted.
Officers discovered a cache of drugs and paraphernalia including cocaine, cannabis, two mobile phones, and a large amount of cash. Further forensic tests confirmed the presence of cocaine.
The investigation revealed Maan's involvement in extensive drug transactions, resulting in his arrest and subsequent sentencing at the Manchester Crown Court to seven years in prison for multiple offences, including possession with intent to supply.
Detective Constable Matthew Bowling expressed satisfaction with the verdict, hoping Maan reflects on his criminal lifestyle and seeks rehabilitation.
