A food delivery cyclist was arrested in Manchester city centre after being caught running a red light. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) initially stopped the cyclist, who was riding with a bright green delivery bag. This arrest led to the discovery that the individual was already wanted by the authorities.
The incident occurred on the morning of September 4th. Officers shared a photo and commented that the cyclist's attempt to deliver breakfast had ended in "disaster," with the breakfast never arriving and the rider now in custody.
The police revealed that the bicycle was an illegal e-bike, as it exceeded the legal motor wattage and speed limits. Consequently, the vehicle was seized, and legal actions are underway.
GMP shared the news on social media, noting the arrest and the seizure of the illegal e-bike while humorously remarking on the unfortunate breakfast situation.
