A court in Manchester has been hearing testimonies regarding the tragic stabbing of 16-year-old transgender teenager Brianna Ghey. The event took place in Linear Park, Culcheth, near Warrington, on February 11, earlier this year.
Girl X, a 16-year-old, admitted in court to having dark fantasies but denied any intention to turn them into reality. She stated she had feelings for Brianna but never intended to harm her.
Prosecutors allege that Brianna was deliberately lured to the park by Girl X and Boy Y, both of whom deny the charge and blame each other for the attack.
During the trial, the defense questioned Girl X on her reported fantasies and friends, suggesting she was manipulating events, which she denied.
Evidence presented included a notebook from Girl X's home, with references to known serial killers, indicating a fascination with violence. A handwritten note allegedly detailing plans to harm Brianna was also discovered.
The trial is ongoing, as the court continues to explore the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
