Child Assault Incident at Porta 134 Cafe in Sale - Witnesses Needed

A woman has been arrested following a 'disturbance' at a cafe where a child is believed to have been assaulted.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward regarding the incident that took place at Porta 134 in Sale on Saturday, October 19. The 'disturbance' occurred between 11am and midday when a woman was present in the Northenden Road cafe, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

According to an appeal issued by Greater Manchester Police on social media, it is believed that a child was assaulted. The police have confirmed that a woman was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, possession of a bladed article, and being drunk and disorderly.

In their Facebook post, GMP Trafford North stated: "On 19th October 2024 between 11:00 hours - 12:00 hours a disturbance has taken place at PORTA 134 CAFE, NORTHENDEN ROAD, SALE. During this disturbance it is believed that a child was assaulted."
