Cheshire Police Investigate Burglary in Alderley Edge

Cheshire Police are investigating a burglary that occurred earlier this month in Alderley Edge, where a gang used a ladder to break into a house and steal a significant amount of jewellery.

The incident took place around 7:20 PM on Friday, November 15, on Marlborough Avenue. Officers believe multiple offenders were involved in the crime.

The suspects accessed the property by using a neighbour's ladder to reach an exterior window, which they smashed to gain entry.

A police spokesperson described the burglary as "very distressing" for the victim, who has been left considerably shaken by the ordeal. The intruders conducted an untidy search of the home before fleeing with several items of jewellery.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV footage, or dashcam images from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

Detective Constable Harry Bayley stated, "To have one's home broken into and personal property stolen is very distressing. We urge anyone who saw something suspicious in the Marlborough Avenue area to contact the police."

No further details have been released at this time.
