A car crashed into a house in east Manchester on Harrop Street, Abbey Hey, at approximately 6.15am on Saturday morning, January 25.

Following the incident, Greater Manchester Police arrested a 19-year-old man. In an update on Sunday, the police confirmed that he has been charged.

Dylan Jewell, 19, from Warrington Road, has been charged with burglary and aggravated vehicle taking. He is currently remanded in custody.

Jewell is set to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court on Monday, January 27. A spokesperson for GMP stated: "Following an incident yesterday, where a vehicle crashed into a property on Harrop Street, a man has been charged. Dylan Jewell (19) of Warrington Road, Wigan, has been charged with burglary and aggravated vehicle taking, and he is remanded to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday, January 27."
