A CCTV image has been released after a burglar followed a resident into their home and stole a mobile phone in Manchester.

This incident took place in the Victoria Park area, near Longsight, last month. However, Greater Manchester Police has just confirmed the details.

Investigators are urging anyone who recognizes the man in the image to step forward. Fortunately, there are no reports of any injuries from the incident.

In a statement, GMP clarified, "On Saturday 14 September, we received a call regarding a burglary on Daisy Bank Road, Manchester. It’s believed that a man followed another resident into the property and then stole a mobile phone."

Police are actively investigating and have released an image of a man who may be able to assist in the investigation. If anyone has information or can identify the individual in the photo, they are encouraged to contact the police quoting log 987 of 15/09/2024. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
