In a shocking incident in Manchester City Centre, Jordan Smith, 30, and Simbarashe Mandaza, 26, launched a brutal attack on three innocent men as they were returning home from a night out at Albert Schloss. The attack left one victim permanently deaf and unable to drive due to severe injuries.
The incident occurred after Smith and Mandaza were kicked out from Albert Schloss following a fight with another group. CCTV captured Smith and Mandaza running up behind their victims near Deansgate, with Smith wielding a brick.
Smith first attacked by striking a man with the brick, rendering him unconscious. Meanwhile, Mandaza assaulted the others, forcefully punching and kicking them. After the vicious assault, both attackers fled the scene. Due to the attack, one victim suffered a traumatic brain injury, while others faced severe wounds and fractures.
Police used Smith's car registration details to locate them. Both pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and were sentenced on January 26, with Smith receiving 15 years and Mandaza 17 years in prison.
One victim now suffers from deafness, balance issues, and anxiety, while another struggles with PTSD and depression. The defendants expressed remorse in court, acknowledging the gravity of their actions.
