Suleiman retaliated with a series of punches after the victim initiated the confrontation by pulling him to the ground. Witnesses were appalled when Suleiman delivered a running kick to the victim's head.

The victim, severely injured and left in a coma, was later hospitalized with a broken eye socket and brain bleeding. He required intensive medical care for several weeks.

The court, upon hearing the case, sentenced Suleiman to over seven years in prison. The judge highlighted the brutality of the act, describing it as revenge rather than self-defense.
