Police are appealing for information following a reported sexual assault on a bus in Bolton on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

The alleged victim boarded a number 607 bus at Bolton Interchange. Soon after, a man and a woman boarded the bus at the second stop.

According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), "It’s believed that the man sat next to the first woman before he sexually assaulted her."

Lucky for the victim, another woman witnessed the incident and intervened, helping her off the bus.

GMP is now urging the woman who assisted the victim, along with anyone else who may have witnessed the incident, to come forward with any information. Such details could significantly aid the investigation.
